How to PROPERLY apply Bona PRIMER and Bona MEGA

BONA PRIME

Primer for a light wood colouration. Produces a well-bodied surface thanks to its high solids content. Has low viscosity and forgiving application properties.
Standard application tools: Roller (Bona) Coverage: 50sqm

1.  Shake the sealer (PRIME) bottle for at least 30 seconds. This will ensure that suspension defoaming agents are properly 2.  mixed.

2.  Use the strainer (provided upon purchase) when you pour the coating to the flooring.

3.  Start the sealer application in the perimeter area (borders and corner area). Pour a small amount of sealer to the flooring, BONA is self leveling so you can be assured of even distribution of coating. Use brush for perimeter or corner area.

4.  For field application – pour the BONA sealer directly on to the flooring, BONA will automatically spread out (self leveling behavior) use roller to evenly apply coating, pour the coating along the grains, termination should be from wall to wall. Avoid termination at the middle of the flooring so there will be no visible and obvious cut marks when coating dries.

5.  Allow it to dry for 3 hours.
AFTER 3 HOURS: Sealer is cured/dried – gently light sand using sanding paper no. 150. Manually light sand. Clean the area. Flooring is ready for TOPCOAT application (MEGA).

Coverage: 50sqm Coating requirement: 2 coating

1.  Shake the topcoat (MEGA) bottle for at least 60 seconds. This will ensure that suspension is properly mixed

2. Use the strainer (provided upon purchase) when you pour the coating on to the flooring.

3. Start the topcoat application in the perimeter area (borders and corner area). Pour a small amount of topcoat to the  flooring; BONA is self leveling so you can be assured of even distribution of liquid. Use brush for perimeter / corner area

4. For field application – pour the BONA topcoat directly on to the flooring, you will see BONA will automatically spread out (self leveling property) Use roller to evenly distribute the coating, pour the coating along the grains termination should be from wall to wall. Avoid termination in the middle of the flooring so there will be no visible and obvious cut marks when coating dries.

5. Allow it to dry for 3 to 4 hours.

AFTER 3- 4 HOURS: Topcoat is cured /dried, gently light sand the flooring using the sanding paper no. 180 or 220 (either of the two). Manually light sand and clean the area. Flooring is ready to be applied with 2nd FINAL TOPCOAT (MEGA).
